New FAA Drone Enforcement Program
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has introduced a new program called DETER that expedites enforcement actions against small drone operators who violate FAA regulations. This policy establishes prompt settlement procedures for first-time violators, allowing them to admit liability and waive appeals in exchange for reduced fees. The aim is to deter violations by incentivizing compliance with FAA rules. This change affects all individual drone operators who are first-time violators and meets the eligibility criteria set forth by the FAA.
