Interstate Licensure Compact for Athletic Trainers Established

⚠️
PROPOSED LEGISLATIONThis bill has been introduced but has NOT been signed into law. Legislative proposals may be amended, passed, or fail to advance. This is not current law.

This proposed bill would establish an interstate licensure compact for athletic trainers in Alabama. Before this change, athletic trainers had to obtain separate licenses in each state where they wanted to practice. If enacted, the new law would allow athletic trainers licensed in one member state of the compact to work in other states within the compact without obtaining additional state-specific licenses. This change affects athletic trainers who wish to practice across multiple states and simplifies their licensing process.
