Dry Needling by Occupational Therapists

This proposed bill would allow occupational therapists to perform dry needling under certain conditions. Before this change, only physical therapists and licensed acupuncturists were permitted to practice dry needling in Colorado. The new rule would affect occupational therapists who wish to expand their treatment options for patients with muscle pain or tension. It is not yet clear when the proposed law would take effect if passed.
