Proposed Ban on Discharging Preproduction Plastic Materials

⚠️
PROPOSED LEGISLATIONThis bill has been introduced but has NOT been signed into law. Legislative proposals may be amended, passed, or fail to advance. This is not current law.

This proposed bill would prohibit the discharge of preproduction plastic materials into the environment. Before this change, there were no specific prohibitions against discharging these materials in Colorado. If enacted, manufacturers and facilities that handle preproduction plastics would be affected as they would need to ensure proper disposal or containment of such materials. The effective date for when this prohibition would take effect is not specified.
