Proposed Insurance Mandated Gun Free Zone Notices
⚠️
PROPOSED LEGISLATIONThis bill has been introduced but has NOT been signed into law. Legislative proposals may be amended, passed, or fail to advance. This is not current law.
This proposed bill would require insurance companies to mandate that businesses and public places post notices declaring their premises as gun-free zones. Before this change, there was no such requirement for insurance policies to include provisions about posting these notices. If enacted, the law would affect businesses and public places covered by insurance in Indiana, requiring them to comply with new notice-posting requirements. The effective date of this proposed bill is not specified.
