Changes to Town Administration in Grand Junction

This amendment would allow the board of mayor and aldermen in Grand Junction to appoint a town administrator if approved locally. The town administrator's duties would be specified, and some of the mayor's responsibilities would be transferred to this new position. Additionally, the appointment of the city recorder would shift from being appointed by the mayor to being appointed by the board of mayor and aldermen. This change affects local governance in Grand Junction.

Previously, the mayor had more direct control over town administration and appointed the city recorder without board approval.

This amendment would allow the board of mayor and aldermen in Grand Junction to appoint a town administrator if approved locally.
