New Requirement for Homeowners' Associations to Obtain Fidelity Bonds
✅Enacted law
This law requires homeowners' associations that collect assessments for common expenses in Tennessee to obtain and maintain a blanket fidelity bond. This bond insures the association against losses from theft or dishonest acts committed by officers, directors, employees of the association, managing agents, or their employees. Before this change, there was no such requirement. Homeowners' associations are now required to ensure they have this insurance in place.
