Process for Continuing Funding During Budget Disputes

This proposed bill would create a process for continuing funding for municipal local educational agencies (LEAs) when the municipal legislative body and the governing body of the LEA cannot agree on a budget. It also provides a mechanism to continue funding municipal operations if the municipal legislative body fails to adopt a budget by the start of the fiscal year. This change affects municipalities, their legislative bodies, and local educational agencies in Tennessee.
