Prohibition on Holding Multiple Elected Offices Simultaneously
✅Enacted law
This law prohibits individuals from holding more than one elected office in Tennessee at the same time. Previously, there was no such prohibition. Under this new law, those currently holding multiple offices can continue to do so until their terms expire. The ban does not apply to positions on a political party's state executive committee. This change affects local government officials and impacts how they manage their roles within the state.
