Reduced Reporting Time for Offenses in Penal Institutions

This proposed bill would decrease from five business days to three business days the time a warden or chief administrative officer at a penal institution has to report certain offenses that occur within the institution to the district attorney general. This change affects wardens and chief administrative officers of penal institutions, as well as district attorneys who receive these reports.

Wardens or chief administrative officers had five business days to report certain offenses within penal institutions to the district attorney general.

This proposed bill would decrease from five business days to three business days the time a warden or chief administrative officer at a penal institution has to report certain offenses that occur within the institution to the district attorney general. This change affects wardens and chief administrative officers of penal institutions, as well as district attorneys who receive these reports.
